All About Shawn
My Story
Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Shawn moved to California in 2007 to play and teach golf year round. He joined the coaching staff at Stadium Golf Center in 2018 and took over its PGA Junior Program. Since then he has focused his time teaching both juniors and adults, both at Stadium Golf Center and during on-course playing lessons. Shawn was elected to the PGA in 2019. Shawn has built up the PGA Junior Program at Stadium, leading a twice per year program that includes practice sessions and weekly matches with other local Junior Programs. "My 11 year old hit a hole in one last week at the Junior League competition - I don't know who was more excited, him or me!" - Robert Prom, Ryan's proud dad. Aside from the PGA Junior Program, Shawn teaches individual and group lessons, family lessons, and has a passion for working with veterans and golfers with disabilities. Prior to working at Stadium Golf Center, Shawn worked at Camp Pendleton for eight years in the golf shop and teaching lessons. No matter what your golf goals are, whether you want to be a scratch golfer or start learning your way around the course, Shawn is the right coach for you. He is patient, believes in teaching through positive reinforcement and humor, and always has a smile on his face.
